Blessed Beyond a Shelter (BBS) was founded by Mrs. Michelle Mosby to create a nurturing environment for homeless or underserved mothers, offering them love, support, a strong spiritual foundation. Our organization helps these less fortunate moms discover hope, secure housing, heal, and find their purpose. Recognizing significance of families and their essential role in communities, we aim to share God's love through enriching programs and services. We believe that every woman possesses the strength to rebuild her life, and are dedicated to empowering mothers in need to achieve that.

Our VISION

Blessed Beyond a Shelter empowers single mothers with transitional housing, literacy education, and spiritual guidance. Through faith, mentorship, and practical support, we help them break cycles of hardship and build a self-sufficient future grounded in God's grace.

Our Fiscal Sponsor

We are thrilled to announce that Blessed Beyond A Shelter organization is a significant initiative supported by Jehovah Jireh Family Center (JJFC), a recognized 501(c)(3) non organization. This arrangement is temporary until Blessed Beyond A Shelter obtains its own tax-exempt status in accordance with law. With JJFC as our fiscal sponsor, we benefit from their expertise in fiduciary oversight and management.

This sponsorship allows us to collaborate our programs and provides us with tax-exempt status but also ensures responsible management of our resources. Together, we strive to create a positive impact through the PlaceHer Program, empowering individuals and promoting community growth.

At Blessed Beyond a Shelter, our board is a dedicated team of faith-led women committed to serving single mothers with compassion, purpose, and excellence. With years of combined experience in program development, education, and community outreach, we bring both professional skill and personal passion to the table. From organizing impactful workshops to walking alongside women in mentorship and support, we work together to create safe, empowering spaces for healing and transformation. Guided by grace and grounded in service, we lead with heart, integrity, and hope for every family we serve.

Hello,

As a mother of four who has faced struggles and relied on faith, I understand the importance of raising children with purpose. Blessed Beyond a Shelter was born from my own journey and my desire to support other women who need more than just shelter—they need a solid foundation for life.

Throughout my life, I’ve encountered moments when stability felt out of reach—emotionally, spiritually, and physically. As a young adult and mother, I carried the burden of responsibility, all while trying to hold everything together.

A pivotal moment in my journey was breaking a generational cycle where children were raised by their grandmothers instead of their mothers. With compassion for the women in my family, I chose a different path. By the grace of God, I raised my child in my home, breaking a generational curse that had endured for decades.

This experience taught me the power of intentional parenting, emotional healing, and trusting God through every challenge. That journey ignited a passion in me to help other mothers rise, make different choices, and break cycles within their own families.

I believe that healing in one mother leads to healing in the family, ultimately transforming future generations. Over the years, I’ve engaged in ministry, supported women in transition, and mentored single mothers as they navigate life’s challenges.

God has placed a deeper calling on my heart—not just to assist, but to equip, encourage, and empower women to embrace freedom, faith, and fullness. This is more than a mission—it’s a movement.

I pray this journey will inspire you to join us in changing lives for a brighter tomorrow.
